GERALDINE "GERRY" ELFIE SMITH

Our beloved Mother, Grandmother and Sister passed away late on New Year's Eve 2016 at The Medical Center of Plano, due to complications from a stroke suffered on Dec 26, 2016.

She was born Dec 5, 1931 to Frank B. Cole,Sr and Bernice (Adamitis) Cole of McKees Rocks, PA where Gerry graduated from Rox High School in 1948. her careers included clerk-typist for Dr.Jonas Salk at University of Pittsburg Childrens Hospital.
She joined nursing profession in 1970 upon completion of LVN Training at Arlington Memorial Hospital and courses at...

She was born Dec 5, 1931 to Frank B. Cole,Sr and Bernice (Adamitis) Cole of McKees Rocks, PA where Gerry graduated from Rox High School in 1948. her careers included clerk-typist for Dr.Jonas Salk at University of Pittsburg Childrens Hospital.
She joined nursing profession in 1970 upon completion of LVN Training at Arlington Memorial Hospital and courses at community colleges, achieving lifelong dream.

Gerry along with her husband and 4 daughters became a Texan in Aug 1967, first as longtime Arlington resident, retiring to Burleson, moving to Joshua, Texas in 2016 . She was member of St Maria Goretti, Arlington and St Ann, Burleson

Her favorite activity was traveling anywhere from Europe to local campgrounds, experiences she shared with her loved ones.
Gerry's many experiences included Square Dancing, Bowling Leagues, Girl Scout Leader, with reading and Old Western TV reruns as part of her daily routine in recent years. She was honored to represent her late husband at USMC reunions, attending latest held Oct 2016 in Missouri.

Gerry is preceded in death by her Parents and Husband(s) William A. Smith, James Wm Weaver, Jr, John James Walsh,
Daughters, Margaret Weaver and Frances (Weaver) Tucker, Granddaughter, Jennifer Seyffer, Sisters-in-Law Maureen and Margaret Cole

Survived by Daughters Linda (Walsh) Landrum and husband Dan of Rockwall Texas, Sheila (Weaver) McComas and husband Mark of Garland Texas.
Brothers ,Charles Cole and wife Christina of Corpus Christi, Texas and Frank B. Cole, Jr of Edinburg, Texas
Grandchildren, Christy Landrum-Brown, Huie "DJ" Landrum, Karen Landrum, Stacy McComas, Chelsey McComas, Kelly McComas,Alex McComas, Brandy McComas, Erica Lovelace-Barbee, Daniel Tucker and Alex Tucker
Great-Grandchildren, Seth, Abby and Caleb Brown, Emily Taff, Lilly Dawson, Lindsey Franklin, Huie Landrum IV
